Something in you knows it's time.
You've been holding it together for so long running on willpower and the sheer force of love for everyone around you. And still, there's this quiet ache that keeps surfacing. In the shower. At 2 a.m. On the drive home when the radio is off.
That ache isn't weakness. It's an invitation.
You belong here.
Therapy doesn't have to feel like a clinical transaction. It can feel like finally being able to say the thing you've been carrying in silence and discovering that someone else understands.
This is a place for the anxiety that won't quiet down, the wounds that never quite healed, and the women who are changing in ways they didn't expect and can't always name. If any of that is you, you're in the right place.
I’m Megan, a counselor in Fort Collins and online in Colorado
I am here for you!
You've been thinking about this for a while and you’re ready for the next step. Whether you're coming to therapy for the very first time or you've been before and walked away wondering if healing was really possible for you, you're in the right place. I specialize in anxiety, complex trauma, and women in midlife and perimenopause. I provide my clients with a genuine, attuned therapy experience. That experience, combined with EMDR's ability to go beyond talking and into the body where old pain actually lives, means we can do the slow, honest work of showing up together until something genuinely shifts. You don't have to have it all figured out to begin. The hardest part is often just deciding to start and you've done that! All you have to do is show up, I'll meet you there.

Areas of Focus
What we can work on together.
-
Anxiety
The 2 a.m. spiral. The dread that arrives before the day even starts. The way your mind cycles through the same fears like it's looking for an exit that never comes.
Anxiety has a way of making you feel like you're the problem: if you could just think differently, try harder, control more, you'd finally get some peace. That isn't true. And you shouldn't have to white-knuckle your way through every day just to hold it together.
We'll work to understand what your nervous system is actually trying to protect you from and help it learn that you're safer than it thinks.

-
Complex Trauma
Not all wounds are obvious. Sometimes what happened was quiet. Repeated. Confusing. The kind of thing that left no visible marks. It was the writer of your story without your permisson.
Complex trauma lives in the body, in patterns, in the way you still brace yourself even when nothing is happening. It shows up in relationships, in the way you go small, in the exhausting work of trying to feel safe in your own life.
Healing doesn't mean forgetting, and it doesn't mean being tough. It means building the internal ground to stand on and finally being able to rest.

Women in Mid-Life
Nobody really tells you about this part. The way your body begins to shift before you're ready. The sleeplessness, the brain fog, the emotions that arrive with a force that catches you off guard.
And underneath all of it, there is a grief for the self you used to know, alongside a strange and quiet possibility that something new might be beginning.
This season doesn't have to be something you just survive. We can make room for everything you're feeling, including the parts you haven't let yourself say out loud yet.
